Digital TV coming soon!
Yorkshire is due to switch over to digital TV in 2011, and Headrow is preparing to get all of its communal TV aerials ready for the change in the next two years.
The change will be to an Integrated Reception Service, which has been chosen as it provides the greatest choice for residents as it can carry satellite signals as well as terrestrial analogue and digital terrestrial television signals. This change will mean that all the distribution cabling for the aerials will require replacing, reducing the need for further upgrades later.
Headrow and Arena have agreement through Fusion 21 to use a strategic procurement partnership with DAS Digital TV Services to maximise possible efficiency and cost in delivering the proposed work. Following discussions, a cost of £175.00 plus VAT per point has been agreed, and a draft programme of work, subject to site surveys, is being scheduled for over the next two financial years.
